On December 18, 2006 Standard Communications, Inc. received Contract Number GS-06F-0549Z. This was one of the awards of the highly anticipated Veterans Technology Services (VETS) governmentwide acquisition contracts (GWAC). SCI's award was for both functional areas: Systems Operations and Maintenance and Information Systems Engineering. SCI is prepared to provide integrated technology solutions worldwide to federal civilian and Department of Defense agencies.
The VETS GWAC is a tool for use by all federal agencies which enables them to meet or exceed small business goals through purchase of Information technology solutions from a pre-competed pool of well qualified service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) firms to meet their technology needs.
